1. Objetivo

1. Objective

Establecer los límites máximos permisibles de exposición y las condiciones mínimas de seguridad e higiene en los centros de trabajo donde se generen vibraciones que, por sus características y tiempo de exposición, sean capaces de alterar la salud de los trabajadores.

To establish the maximum permissible limits of exposure and the minimum conditions of safety and health in the work places where vibrations are generated that by their characteristics and exposure time are capable of altering the health of workers.

2. Field of Application

La presente Norma rige en todo el territorio nacional y aplica en todos aquellos centros de trabajo en donde por las características de operación de la maquinaria y equipo, se generen vibraciones que afecten a los trabajadores en cuerpo entero o en extremidades superiores.

The present Standard regulates in all the national territory and applies in all those work places where by the characteristics of operation of the machinery and equipment, vibrations are generated that affect the workers in their whole bodies or in the upper extremities.
