1. Objective

La presente Norma Oficial Mexicana establece las características, dimensiones, símbolos y colores de las etiquetas que deben portar todos los envases y embalajes, que identifican la clase de riesgo que representan durante su transportación y manejo las substancias, materiales y residuos peligrosos.

This Official Mexican Standard establishes the characteristics, dimensions, symbols and colors of the labels that all containers and packaging must carry, that identify the class of risk that the hazardous substances, materials, and wastes represent during their transportation and handling.
