1. Objetivo y campo de aplicación

 

   1. Objective and Field of Application
1.1. La presente Norma es de observancia obligatoria en todo el territorio nacional y tiene por objeto establecer el procedimiento y las especificaciones técnicas para la verificación de los productos, al amparo de las fracciones arancelarias que se detallan en el Acuerdo que establece la clasificación y codificación de mercancías cuya importación está sujeta a regulación por parte de la Secretaría de Agricultura, Ganadería y Desarrollo Rural, con el fin de verificar que los productos no constituyen un riesgo zoosanitario y que sean de óptima calidad higiénico-sanitaria para el consumo humano. Esta Norma es aplicable en los puntos de verificación autorizados por la Secretaría de Agricultura, Ganadería y Desarrollo Rural, que cuenten con la infraestructura necesaria para la verificación.   1.1. This Standard is of obligatory observance in all the national territory and has the objective of establishing the procedure and technical specifications for the verification of the products, supported by the tariff classifications that are detailed in the Agreement that establishes the classification and codification of goods whose importation are subject to regulation on the part of the Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock, and Rural Development, for the purpose of verifying that the products do not constitute an animal health risk and are of the best hygienic-sanitary quality for human consumption. This Standard is applicable in the Verification Points authorized by the Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock, and Rural Development that have the infrastructure necessary for the verification.
