1. Objetivo y campo de aplicación 1. Objective and field of application
1.1. Esta Norma es de observancia obligatoria en todo el territorio nacional y tiene por objeto establecer las bases para la detección y el control de residuos tóxicos en tejidos alimenticios primarios de origen animal y es aplicable a la carne, grasa, hígado y riñón de bovinos, equinos, porcinos y ovinos, provenientes de establecimientos de sacrificio ubicados en el país o de una planta aprobada por la Secretaría de Agricultura y Recursos Hidráulicos, cuando éstos sean de importación. 1.1 This Standard is of obligatory observance in all the national territory and has the objective of establishing the criteria for the detection and the control of toxic wastes in primary food tissues of animal origin and is applicable to meat, fat, liver, and kidney of cattle, horses, pigs, and sheep, coming from slaughterhouses located in the country or from any plant approved by the Secretary of Agriculture and Hydraulic Resources, when they are imported.
