Safe
Company Program – Empresa Segura
|
| |
| The
State of Baja California has made an agreement with the Federal Government to offer free
assessment to Companies in the State. This
is an excellent program that focuses on trying to assist companies into bringing
their companies in compliance with Federal Safety Standards in a cooperative non-adversarial way. It is voluntary and will help your company save the
expense of outside assessment or fines. |
| |
| You can call
the Dirección del Trabajo y Previsión Social in Tijuana at
(681) 59-52 and 681-23-88, fax: 681-58-13 or contact
glenn@mexicanlaws.net
They will visit
you and explain the program and leave materials. If you agree to enroll in
the program, they will assess your operation, advise you on what you need to do,
and set up a timetable that can take 6 months or longer to bring your company in
line with standards. You will avoid being fined and will not be inspected
by the Federal Government while enrolled in the program.
|
| |
The purpose of the program
is to
promote compliance with Safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- All
assessments are confidential.
- Once
a company is enrolled in the Program, it will receive an assessment and
consultation for two years free in order to bring it into compliance with
the Federal Government Regulations.
- The
State Department gives it a certificate of compliance, once it is in
compliance.
- This
certificate is good for 2 years.
- During
the 2 years there will be no Federal inspections or sanctions.
