DAILY MINIMUM WAGES 2006

The National Commission of Minimum Wages, a
subsection of the (STPS) Secretary Of Labor and Social
Welfare, acting under Article 570 of the Federal Labor Law
which states that “minimum wages will
be set each year and will take effect on the first day of
January of the following year,”
publishes every year in December, in the (DOF) Official Daily
of the Federation, the revised minimum wages by profession.
They became effective
January 1, 2006.

For the purposes of
minimum wages, Mexico is divided into three geographic areas
(A, B, and C) which have distinct wages based on the analysis
and studies performed by the Commission. These three
geographical areas are as follows:
