0.  Introduction

Esta Norma agrupa las especificaciones básicas que deben ser aplicadas en el diseño de instalaciones radiactivas tipo II.

This Standard groups the basic specifications that must be applied in the design of radioactive installations Type II.

El diseño particular de cada instalación debe ser acorde a la naturaleza y actividad del material
radiactivo que se manejará, a su forma física, química, así como al tipo de trabajo que se desarrollará
en dicha instalación.

The particular design of each installation must be according to the nature and activity of the radioactive material that will be handled, to its physical and chemical form, as well as the type of work that will be performed in said installation.

Se deben tomar en cuenta las previsiones adecuadas en la etapa de diseño para incorporar materiales adecuados para las instalaciones radiactivas, en materia de protección radiológica, con el fin de minimizar tanto la exposición a la radiación como los gastos posteriores para este rubro.

Adequate provisions must be taken into account in the design stage for incorporating adequate materials for the radioactive installations, in matters of radiological protection, for the purpose of minimizing the exposure to radiation as well as the later costs for this category.
