"ECOL" vs "SEMARNAT"

in the designations of environmental standards - do not be confused by "ECOL" and "SEMARNAT" there is no difference.
An agreement was published in the DOF on April 23, 2003 that changes the nomenclature for all environmental NOMs. ECOL was changed to SEMARNAT, but it was only a name change and there is no difference. In older documents you will still see the "ECOL" designation, so look for the NOM as SEMARNAT, if you don't find the "ECOL" designation.
