SEMARNAT-1993, Until Sept. 23 you will receive both
NOM's with the purchase of either.

La Ley General del
Equilibrio Ecológico y la Protección al Ambiente, así
como su Reglamento en Materia de Prevención y Control de
la Contaminación de la Atmósfera establecen que la
calidad del aire debe ser satisfactoria en todas las
regiones del país, y que las emisiones de contaminantes
a la atmósfera deben ser reducidas y controladas para
asegurar una calidad del aire satisfactoria para el
bienestar de la sociedad y del medio ambiente que nos
rodea. |

The General Law of
Ecological Equilibrium and Protection of the Environment
(LGEEPA), as well as its Regulation in Matters of
Prevention and Control of the Contamination of the
Atmosphere establish that the quality of the air must be
satisfactory in all human habitations and regions of the
country and that the emissions of contaminants to the
atmosphere must be reduced and controlled for assuring a
satisfactory quality of air for the wellbeing of society
and the environment that surrounds us. |

Que en la fabricación
de pinturas de secado al aire base disolvente para uso
doméstico, se usan compuestos orgánicos volátiles, los
cuales al aplicarse se evaporan, y cuando rebasan
ciertas concentraciones pueden intervenir en reacciones
fotoquímicas atmosféricas, que afectan al ambiente, por
lo que es necesario establecer límites máximos
permisibles con el fin de prevenir y controlar la
contaminación ambiental. |

That in the
fabrication of solvent based air dry paints for domestic
use, volatile organic compounds are used, which when
applied evaporate, and when they exceed certain
concentrations can be involved in atmospheric
photochemical reactions, that effect the environment,
for which it is necessary to establish maximum
permissible limits for the purpose of preventing and
controlling environmental contamination. |
