1. Objective

La presente Norma Oficial Mexicana establece las disposiciones de compatibilidad y segregación, que deben aplicarse para el almacenamiento y transporte de substancias, materiales y residuos peligrosos, a fin de proteger la seguridad de las personas y sus bienes, así como el medio ambiente y las vías generales de comunicación.

This Official Mexican Standard establishes the provisions of compatibility and segregation that must be applied for the storage and transport of hazardous substances, materials, and wastes, for the purpose of protecting the safety of the persons and property, as well as the environment and the general routes of communication.
