La
estructura de la presente Norma Oficial Mexicana responde a las
necesidades en el cumplimiento de los requisitos de seguridad para
conductores eléctricos que se comercializan dentro del territorio de los
Estados Unidos Mexicanos, para lo cual, se han definido 15 secciones
(ver 7, Especificaciones). Cada una de ellas hace referencia a la norma
o normas mexicanas de requisitos de seguridad (con especificaciones y
métodos de prueba) de tipo genérico, las cuales a su vez hacen
referencia a normas mexicanas complementarias de requisitos de seguridad
para conductores eléctricos en lo particular. |

The structure of the
present Official Mexican Standard responds to the necessities in the
compliance to the safety requirements for electrical conductors that are
commercialized within the territory of the United Mexican States, for
which, 15 sections have been defined (see 7. Specifications.) Each one
of them makes reference to the Standard or Mexican Standards for Safety
Requirements (with specifications and testing methods) of generic type,
which at the same time make reference to the complementary Mexican
Standards (NMX) of safety requirements for electrical conductors in
particular. |

La
presente Norma Oficial Mexicana establece los requisitos de seguridad
que deben cumplir los conductores, alambres y cables para uso eléctrico,
con el propósito de garantizar las condiciones necesarias de uso
eficiente y racional en el consumo de la energía eléctrica y satisfacer
las características imprescindibles de servicio y seguridad para las
personas, los equipos y su patrimonio. |

The present Official
Mexican Standard establishes the safety requirements that conductors,
and wires and cables for electrical use must comply with, for the
purpose of guaranteeing the conditions necessary for efficient and
rational use in the consumption of electrical energy, and satisfy the
indispensable characteristics of service and safety for persons,
equipment, and their assets. |
